WED SEPT 24 2-3pm - Drawing Basics. A brief introduction followed by everyone drawing what they want. If time permits, we will begin the “Drawing Jam” on a big paper banner.
THURS OCT 2 3-4pm - Sequential Art. Comics, graphic novels and animatics. How to tell a story with drawings. Resume work on the Drawing Jam.
THURS OCT 9 3-4pm - How to draw faces & characters followed by a “Portrait Party” (drawing each other). Resume work on the Drawing Jam.
THURS OCT 16 3-4pm - Keeping a sketch journal. Urban Sketching, Drawing clothed figures, costumed figures and fashion figures. Finish work on the Drawing Jam. Take photos posing in front of the Drawing Jam.
WED OCT 29 2-3pm. - Halloween Sidewalk Chalk Art Special (weather permitting). The art of fantasy, horror and sci-fi. How to draw monsters and fantastic, imaginary creatures. If it rains, we will draw indoors. If it’s sunny, we will draw on the pavement under the awning. Chalk is very messy, so wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!
