January 8-9, 2025 9:30-4:30 with a 1 hour lunch. Drawing does not come naturally to many people. To draw reasonably well, without having the knowledge or natural abilities, some training must occur. The key to good drawing is the result of a few simple concepts. Firstly, we draw Shapes not things. Second, one must see the perspective of the image such that all shapes lie on a single Picture Plane. And thirdly, understanding the concept of Eye Level. These basic concepts are integral to good drawing and visualization. You will come away from this class with tools to make your drawing and artwork better. Materials required: Pencils, (H, HB, B, 2B) eraser, 12 x 16 sketchbook, or pad, Eraser, 12” ruler, razor knife, 60 grit sandpaper or lighter.
